How has been your entrepreneurship journey so far?

It has been a very satisfying journey so far. We have a record of satisfied candidates who have entrusted us and returned after completing their term with their respective companies, they are extremely happy and gratified with our offerings & services. These happy faces are the driving force of our commitment and keep our beliefs rock solid and eventually urge us to keep delivering more. But there is a challenging task as well as a HR consultant, which is to provide the perfect candidate to the client within the stipulated time frame. The key challenge is to maintain equilibrium between the requirement and the right fit. This functioning keeps us on our toes and by achieving we adhere to keep our clients and candidates happy.

How has the role of HR changed with the shift in technology; in terms of better hiring for business development?

The hiring procedures have evolved by manifolds over the years. In earlier days the recruiter majorly selected candidate’s basis degree and education qualification. In the current scenario, recruiters focus on skills and practical knowledge more than education qualification. The hiring environment today has become extremely niche and competitive. With the advancement of technology and the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) it has eased the hiring procedure. Software’s make a powerful and broader search for potential candidates within no time. Notifications and alerts to both candidates and recruiters help to expedite the whole procedure. A complete tracker can be maintained right from CV selection, interview line ups to appointment letters.

How important is background checking during the hiring process?

The background checking is very crucial depending on the Job Profile. A reference check is done, police verification is also done to ensure that the candidate has no criminal back ground, documents are verified if they are genuine. All these steps make a candidate more genuine and reliable.

What business opportunities do you see particularly in recruitment sector?

Opportunities are largely in sectors like Infrastructure, Electrical and Mechanical in both International and Domestic market. While the market has been performing comparatively low since the past few months, we have a difference of opinion that the Oil and Gas Industry in the Gulf will boom back soon in a matter of few months.

What are your future plans?

As, we cover most of the sectors and business verticals, we now wish to target the areas that are untapped and have a huge potential. To make Shella Consultants a preferred name in man power supply and recruitment in India.
