Hyderabad: Most team members of failed start-ups say that though their ideas were innovative, they did not get good response. One Lucky Agarwal, who launched a start-up but failed in marketing, committed suicide recently. He had left his job with hopes about his app project.

Many city techies are looking forward to their own start-ups and are leaving their jobs or are working on projects and continuing in their jobs. Mr R. Shyam Kumar, a team member of the failed start-up, TMS, said that he and two of his friends had started a project.

“We had profits for about an year but did not concentrate on upgrades, which became a boon for our compotators. We are now concentrating on unique themes,” he said.

Mr T.K. Raju of Kondapur said their idea was unique. “But we failed to launch in time. Due to the delay, a similar product was launched and was successful,” he said. Mr Konda Bhaskar Reddy from Madhapur and V-P of ‘NesDistill’ app said their application was getting good response across the globe with around 5 lakh downloads.

“We studied news apps. We found that no app was providing combined text, pics and video of news. Besides this, no app was providing search options for current day, week and month-based news key words. We introduced such an app and were successful, he said. We did not get good response overnight. Comprehensive marketing techniques led us to success," he said.
