Data analytics park soon: K T rama Rao

K.T. Rama Rao on Friday said that the govt plans to set up a new data analytics park in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Telangana IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Friday said that the government plans to set up a new data analytics park in Hyderabad. “We have plans to set up an IT hub in here which would include a data analytics park along with our SME tower in Gachibowli. While the SME Tower has been embroiled in controversy, we are in advanced negotiation for the park,” the minister said after the inauguration of Jade Global’s Hyderabad office.

Mr Rao was speaking on Jade Global’s expertise in data analytics when he diverted to talk about government’s plan of a new 50-acre data centre park and that the government is already in advanced negotiati-ons with multiple firms. Mr Rao also confirmed that Fractal analytics and Mu-sigma are in negotiations with the government. He also had a sly jab as he insisted that the government should work to create an ecosystem for the existing businessmen instead of running after the FDI.

“The government has to nurture the local guys instead of chasing for FDI. It must create an ecosystem for the SME’s to thrive by providing support or assessing their health through independent third party assessment,” he said.
