New Triumph Bonneville T100 to launch in India on October 18

The new triumph Bonneville T100 is an interesting bike with the street twin's engine packed in the Bonneville T120's frame.

The Indian unit of British motorcycle brand Triumph Motorcycles, has sent us an invitation for the launch of a new motorcycle on October 18, 2016, and we believe that the new product is none but the new Bonneville T100. The previous model of the bike was discontinued a few months ago after Triumph launched the new Street Twin and the Bonneville T120. Notably, the new Bonneville T100 gets its powertrain from the Street Twin and the frame from the Bonneville T120. We expect the launch price of the bike to be around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

The Triumph Bonneville T120 is a modern classic bike which is inspired by the legendary 59 Bonneville. Bonneville features a 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 55PS at 5,900rpm and delivers a peak torque of 80Nm at just 3,230rpm. The new T100 was unveiled in two trim options - Standard and Black - but we believe that India will only get the prior one.

The bike shares all the electronic gadgetry with its elder sibling, the T120, including the traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and engine immobiliser. ABS is a standard feature on the T100 and it also gets an LED tail lamp. As per the company, the seat has been made out of a deeper foam that is claimed to provide better comfort on long journeys.

The new Triumph T100 could be made available in two dual-tone colour options -- Fusion White/Aegean Blue and New England White/Intense Orange. Moreover, Triumph will offer 150 official accessories to customise the motorcycle as per the buyer’s needs.
