One of India’s most established and fastest growing superbike brands, DSK Benelli, has achieved another milestone in its journey here. Within a year of launching its operations in Goa, it has sold 151 units of its Italian performance bikes. With this, the company sets the record for the highest sales done by a superbike brand in the state in a year.
Celebrating the achievement, Shirish Kulkarni, chairman, DSK Motowheels, himself, handed over the keys of the 151st DSK Benelli superbike to its proud owner in the presence of ISL superstars from the FC Goa football team. To commemorate the occasion, a special custom painted TNT 25 motorcycle was also unveiled with FC Goa livery.
Commenting on the achievement, Kulkarni said, “When it comes to performance; power, agility, endurance and control are factors of vital importance, so there’s a lot that is similar between a professional football player and a best-in-breed superbike. The intense passion for football and biking that the people of Goa harbour is no secret, so we decided to celebrate our milestone of the fastest sale of 151 superbikes in the city, by blending both these passions. The unveiling of the TNT 25 wrapped in the Forca Goa livery has further added to the success of today’s event, showcasing our support to the FC Goa team.”
The bike that has been customised to mark the occasion, the Benelli TNT 25, is the most affordable offering in the company's line-up, with a price tag of Rs 1.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Goa). Powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, the bike offers a maximum power output of 28.5PS and a peak torque of 21.61Nm. The fuel injected motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox for a sportier performance. Bolted on a steel trellis frame, the bike features inverted front forks, monoshock at the rear, wide tubeless tyres, front and rear disc brakes and much more. However, for now, the ABS feature is not available with the bike, even as an optional extra.
