Transparent procedure

Road projects should be implemented in a scientific manner by studying traffic movement in the proposed area over a period of time. The opinion of the residents of the locality also counts. Tenders should be called for and contracts should be awarded fairly considering the budget as well as the track record of the construction company. The contract allotment procedure should be transparent. Officials should be assigned to regularly monitor the project. The time-frame decided should be strictly adhered to. There should, however, be no compromise on quality and safety to reduce cost or to ensure quick completion.
