Xiaomi seems to be prepping up to unveil the successor of its Redmi Note 4 — the Redmi Note 5. An online listing of the device was spotted on JD.com. The listing however didn’t include an image of the device, but can be considered a placeholder for Xiaomi’s upcoming offering.

After several reports mentioned the listing on the e-commerce retailer, the listing was taken down tipping the existence of the alleged device. The listing was first spotted by GizmoChina of the Redmi Note 5 and added that the smartphone will sport an edge-to-edge display. No other information about the specifications was mentioned in the listing.

If the rumours are to be believed, the Redmi Note 5 is expected to boast a dual camera setup with one 16MP and a 5MP sensor. It is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 or MediaTek Helio P25 SoC and will be backed by 4000mAh battery.

The device was also spotted on Chinese certification authority TENAA hinting a 5.99-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. It will pack 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. It is certain that the device will run MIUI 0 out-of-the-box wrapped under Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
