Android has seen many recent malware attacks and Google's decision to roll out security features for a million Android devices around the world will help it eradicate most of the malicious applications from the PlayStore.

Google has recently rolled out the update for Android smart wearables. The latest Android 2.8 update brings improvements to watches’ display performance. The new upgrade aims to make reading on the smartwatch simpler compared to its predecessor.

If the reports are to be believed, the Android Wear 2.8 has not changed much in terms of features. However, the user interface has witness few tweaks here and there. The users will be notified to update their smart wearables or it can be done manually going through settings of the device.

The upgrade is expected to be available soon, but the company is yet to confirm the exact time. Google is also yet to reveal all the extra features the new update will bring to the Android compatible smartwatches.

Back in October 2017, Google reportedly removed the ‘Watches’ category from its online store altogether. The latest Google Store lists only had the following categories: Phones, Laptops and Tablets, Virtual Reality and Accessories, Home and Entertainment.

The smartwatch category has seen a slump in sales and many manufacturers like Motorola have given up on the idea of a smart wearable. LG is still making them, but it still unclear whether any more variants will see the light of day.
