Sony announces new full-frame α7R III mirrorless camera at Rs 2,64,990

The Sony α7R III 35mm full-frame 42.4MP sensor and can shoot up to10FPS.

To help with clarity when not using a professional tripod, Sony has incorporated a 5-axis optical in-body image stabilisation with a 5.5 step shutter speed advantage.

Fortifying its range of mirrorless cameras in India, Sony has launched its updated α7R III full-frame camera. The α7R III has been priced at Rs 2,64,990.

The α7R III boasts of a 35mm full-frame 42.4MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor with enhanced BIONZ X image processing engine and front-end LSI, all of which promises to boost the overall image quality. The sensor can shoot continuously up to 10 fps with either Silent Shooting or Mechanical Shutter and full Auto Focus/Auto Exposure tracking.

The new sensor also has 399 phase-detection AF points covering 68 percent of the image area, 425 contrast AF points and approximately two times more effective Eye AF. Sony claims that the α7R III can shoot high-resolution 4K movies with full pixel readout and no pixel binning. There’s also 4K HDR recording available on offer. Apart from that, Sony says that the body has been completely redesigned for professionals, including upgraded autofocus, dual SD Card Slots, extended battery life, SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.1 Gen 1) USB Type-C terminal and more. It also comes with built-in Wi-Fi to share photos and videos to smartphones wirelessly.
