Telangana: 100 acres to be allotted for meat unit

The TS government has sought investments in meat and fisheries sectors from companies in the Gulf.

According to the statistics put up by fisheries department, this year the inland fish production was only 1.97 lakh tones against the produce of 2.42 lakh tones, last year.

HYDERABAD: The TS government has sought investments in meat and fisheries sectors from companies in the Gulf. It has offered to allot 100 acres on the city outskirts to set up meat processing and export units, if Gulf companies come forward to invest in Telangana.

Minister for animal husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who took part in Gulfood 2018, a food and beverage commodity expo, at Dubai World Trade Centre, held talks with officials of various companies. “A delegation of businessmen have agreed to visit TS in March to explore investment opportunities, Mr Yadav said.
