HYDERABAD: “The fourth industrial revolution with advances in digital technology and robotics will make certain jobs obsolete but also create many new jobs, said Mr M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Vice President of India while speaking at the 8th convocation of Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management. He also said that Hyderabad ranks as the second largest exporter of IT products with about 67,000 crores of exports.

He further stated that India was an old country with a young population and no other country had this demographic advantage. “We are at the cusp of massive transformation and GITAM University is taking huge strides in offering quality education by collaborating with prestigious universities such as Stanford and introducing interdisciplinary courses such as Cyber Forensics, Pharma Chemistry and others”, said the Vice-President.

Mr Venkaiah Naidu also commented on the three picturesque campuses of GITAM-in Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and congratulated the institution for offering high quality education for more than 37 years. T. Harish Rao, the Minister for Irrigation, Telangana, who was the guest of honour said, “TS Government has taken the path of innovation and entrepreneurship to make TS the most preferred investment destination in India.”
