BENGALURU: Myntra, a fashion e-commerce portal, filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police on Tuesday against fraudsters who are misleading the company’s customers with combo offers and asking them to transfer money into their accounts.

The company filed the complaint after receiving many complaints from its customers.

DCP Jinendra Kanagavi said that the fraudsters are calling up customers from private numbers, saying they represent Myntra. They are offering customers special combo offers and are sending them messages with different links to make their payments.

Ankitha Chowdry, a Myntra customer, has complained to the company on the official website that she received a call from a private number saying that they were from Myntra and she was asked to shop for Rs 4,000 to get the bumper prize.

She was told to send the product codes for all the goods she wanted to purchase and asked her to make the payment through Paytm.

The company stated in the complaint that it has been receiving many complaints over the last one week and they have been guiding their customers not to leak their personal information or to make payments through any links other than the one on the official website.
