Hyderabad: Man beaten to death by in-laws

According to the police, the woman, Raessa Begum, 32, left for her maternal home following a fight with her husband.

Hyderabad: Jagathgirigutta police booked cases against a woman and her family for the murder of her 38-year-old husband on Monday. The man, identified as Shaikh Mahboob, has been harassing his wife for the past couple of weeks, the police said .

According to the police, the woman, Raessa Begum, 32, left for her maternal home following a fight with her husband.

“On Monday, she called him up saying that she is feeling unwell and wanted to meet him. When he went to his in-laws’ house, her relatives beat him up leaving him badly injured,” said police.

Raessa then called her brother-in-law, Yousuf, and told him about the incident. Yousuf rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead by the medics.
