Hyderabad: The mobile phone device, used for conducing hi-tech teen patti game, looks like any other mobile phone. While monitoring the game, it can make and receive calls. However, it has no Internet access.

Naga Praveen Kumar, the mastermind, came to know about it while surfing for advanced gadgets online.

He found this device from a seller in Delhi and bought it for Rs 30,000. These devices can be used for teen patti and andar bahar games. Each device can accommodate software. If anyone checks the device, the operator can allow him to make a call for testing, but still the device continues to operate. It gives the result of the game within the first few seconds after the cards are distributed.

Usually, before the cards are distributed, the mobile is kept adjacent to scan the pack.  If someone disturbs its position, the organiser will withdraw from the game or will not raise stakes in the game. To avoid suspicion, he loses a couple of games.

Praveen told the police that five more persons own this device in different parts of the state and they are also organising the hi-tech teen patti game.
