When asked about the quirky name of the brand, Maithreye shared a little anecdote with us. “I was coming back from a road trip and was near the Anamalai hills check post when I saw this thoroughly cute baby monkey eating a pineapple bigger than his face. Immediately the phrase ‘monkey eating pineapple’ popped into my head and much later when I was thinking of a brand name I thought of it again”, explained Maithreye.

The brand features first of its kind designs that are all made in India and are all ethnic print based designs. “I’m a huge fan of design and as a dancer I’ve always been in awe of our rich culture that has so much to offer ... especially in terms of fabric and patterns.  So, after doing some research I was surprised that there aren’t any ethnic offerings for pets”, says Maithreye.

The vision of the brand is to reach Indian pet owners far and wide by providing an affordable range of accessories. The price of these accessories range from Rs 175 and goes up to Rs 1,000.
