Dileep was married to distant relative before tying knot with Manju Warrier?

KOCHI: Reports have surfaced regarding actor Dileep having a matrimonial relationship with his distant relative before his marriage to Manju Warrier. Sources in SIT remained tightlipped about the matter and declined to confirm or deny the reports. They have also refused to confirm whether the matter is under the purview of the probe in connection with the actor abduction case. Speculations are rife that Dileep had a marriage contract with the woman and she is currently settled in a country in West Asia.

Meanwhile, Special Investigation Team probing the actor assault case is likely to again interrogate filmmaker Nadirshah soon. Sources said the filmmaker, a close friend of actor Dileep, is suspected to be involved in the destruction of evidence after the crime was committed. Referring to the probe,  sources said cops will collect the statements of persons connected with the Malayalam film industry and those suspected to be having links to  the case.

The SIT had gathered statements of actors Madhu Varrier and Sritha Sivadas the other day. The probe team is also reviewing a statement by Sunil Kumar aka Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case, on the alleged role of a woman, referred to as madam, in the crime.  A section of officials in the probe team suspects that Suni made such a statement to mislead the investigation.
