After doing action scenes in the Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali, Sai Dhanshika is set for an encore. The actress is excited to perform some intense action sequences, once again, in her forthcoming film Mela, directed by Kiran Sripuram.

Explaining how she landed the project, Dhansika says, “The director saw me at an award function. He then called me and narrated the script. I felt it was the kind of film I wanted to do.”

However, the actress chose to remain tight-lipped about her role. “It is premature to talk about it. So far I have done roles that were subtle and serious, but in Mela, you will get to see my new side because my role has several dimensions including intense action sequences. It will take the audiences by surprise. Apart from Hyderabad, we will shoot the film in some picturesque locations of Chennai, Mumbai and in the US,” she says.

Dhanshika shares that she has already shot 40 percent of another bilingual film, Vaalujeda (the title of the Telugu version), directed by Ramana Mallam. “The film is based on woman empowerment. I started to learn the language (Telugu) for my role in the film. I was given my lines much before the schedule kicked off, so that I can better express myself. My crew was surprised to see me speaking Telugu fluently,” she explains.
