Kevin Spacey comes out as gay

Responding to allegations that he had made a pass at now 46-year-old Star Trek — Discovery actor, Anthony Rapp, 58-year-old actor Kevin Spacey apologised and in the same breath, came out as gay.

“I have a lot of respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp as an actor and I’m beyond horrified to hear his story (sic),” posted Spacey on Twitter, adding, “I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago. But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology. (sic)”

After pleading ignorance of the matter, Spacey went on to describe it as “deeply inappropriate drunken behavior” on his part before coming out as gay. Admitting that he had “had relationships with both men and women”, Spacey wrote, “I have loved and had romantic relationships with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man. I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behavior.” One wonders if that was a confession or an attempt to cover up?
