Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan are yet to work with each other in a film.

Mumbai: With the heated environment following multiple protests and sickening threats to the team of ‘Padmavati’ in the build up to the release, here’s something to just lighten the atmosphere a bit.

Lead actress and titular character of the film, Deepika Padukone, who has been solely handling the promotional responsibilities of the film, made an appearance on Salman Khan’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ on Sunday.

And like he often puts the contestants on the show in a spot with his one-liners and tricky questions, Salman played the ‘kill, marry, date’ game with Deepika and her options were co-stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

While Salman would’ve hoped to make it difficult for the actress, she answered with confidence and in turn, he was stumped with one of the answers.

Deepika answered, “I’ll marry Sanjay Leela Bhansali,” but a stumped Salman interrupted, “This marriage won’t last.”

When she asks why, the actor, who worked with Bhansali in three films, replies, “Yes, it will, for a few days.”

She continued, “I’ll date Ranveer Singh. And Shahid is married, so will have to kill him.”

The news of the controversial film’s release date being deferred from the scheduled December 1 was announced few hours before the episode was aired.

With no certainty over the release date, the back-to-back promotions of the film for Deepika can now ease, at least for the time being.
