Priyanka Chopra to play astronaut in two upcoming Bollywood movies?
The actress might be seen playing an astronaut in Aamir Khan starrer as well as in Kalpana Chawla biopic.
Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra might not have announced any Hindi releases for around two years now but if rumours are to be believed the actress has signed two biopics. The first film would be Aamir Khan starrer Rakesh Sharma’s biopic and another biopic on American-Indian astronaut Kalpana Chawla.
It has been years since talks about a possible biopic on Kalpana Chawla have been doing the rounds. Priyanka Chopra’s name was always associated with the project but no official announcement has been made yet. It’s been also speculated that the actress is keen on producing this film.
Interestingly, the Quantico star is also being considered for another space film with Aamir Khan. The film is based on the life of astronaut Rakesh Sharma and it is tentatively titled Salute. As a source revealed to DNA After Hrs, “Well, there was some interest from her side. Because she hasn’t ever worked with Aamir Khan.”
About Kalpana Chawla biopic, a source added to the daily, “Priyanka met the makers and has asked them to start the pre-production work on the film. This will be the first film to go on floors right after Quantico if all goes well.”
Priyanka Chawla is currently busy shooting in Rome for the third season of her popular ABC show Quantico.
