Hyderabad to host World IT Congress in February

It will be held in India for the first time, a top official said here on Monday.

Hyderabad: Within months after hosting the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, the city of Hyderabad will again play host to a global event as the World Congress on Information Technology will be held in India for the first time, a top official said here on Monday.

Speaking to the media, Tech Mahindra CEO and MD C.P. Gurnani said, “2018 marks not only the debut of WCIT in India, but the first time we are holding an event of Nasscom India Leadership Forum’s global scale in Hyderabad.

“After hosting the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (later this month), we are excited to encourage Hyderabad's forward-looking policies and its position as an emerging Silicon Valley of India by bringing NILF -WCIT to the city.” As part of its “Amplify Digital Series”, the Nasscom hosted a core committee meeting here.
