AP government building Andhra Valley to promote IT industry

Several skill development and training centres were coming forward to offer training to IT industry aspirants in Amaravati itself.

The Indian IT job market will see layoffs and a dip in opportunities as traditional roles get replaced by automation and digitisation.

Guntur: The AP Government’s blueprint of ‘Andhra Valley’ for the development of IT industry with IT clusters in Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, Ananatapur and Tirupati, is finally taking shape.

On Wednesday, minister for IT and Panchayat Raj Mr. N Lokesh inaugurated 16 IT companies promoted by APNRT at Mangalagiri. Mr. Lokesh said that 10 lakh jobs will be available with the development of IT.

He urged the youth to promote the new IT companies by joining these institutions. He added that there was no longer any need to going to Ameerpet of Hyderabad for IT training. Several skill development and training centres were coming forward to offer training to IT industry aspirants in Amaravati itself.

He said four IT clusters at Visakhapatnam, Anantapur, Tirupati and Amaravati would be developed with a target of providing 10 lakh jobs in the next ten years. He said that the state has been attracting IT companies by introducing designated technology park policy.

He said that an ecosystem was being developed to attract both the start-ups and IT companies. He stressed the need to harness the ideas of students as there was no dearth in human resources in the region.
