Muktha back after 25 years

Veteran producer-director Muktha Srinivasan, who has worked with the likes of Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, is back to wielding the megaphone after a long hiatus of 25 years. He will be making the biopic of Sri Ramanuja, the Hindu philosopher, theologian and a leading expounder of Vishishtadvaita, titled Manitha Neyar Ramanujar.

Talking about the project, he says, “I am casting a new comer to play the role of Sri Ramanujar. It is a deliberate attempt as I want a fresh face without the burden of any image. This film also marks my 45th venture as a filmmaker. I am proud to portray the life of Sri Ramanujar, who brought about a lot of social reforms and fought selflessly for the growth of many people.”
