Deepika Padukone’s been receiving high praise her latest film Tamasha, with both critics and mainstream audiences alike giving the movie a thumbs up. Some of that praise has also been coming from down South, with Tollywood star Mahesh Babu praising the actress on more than one occasion.
In a recent interview, he said that while Sridevi had always been his favourite actress, Deepika has now taken over that mantle after he watched her performance in Piku.
It’s now being said that Mahesh even called her up personally to congratulate her for Tamasha’s success, saying he loved her performance.
The praise didn’t go unnoticed, with Deepika responding to the Srimanthudu star on Twitter with this Tweet: “Thank you so much! @urstrulyMahesh”
