Telangana gets Hyderabad High Court nod on 2BHK

The bench hoped the scheme would be completed within a reasonable time

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday allowed the TS government to go ahead with selection of beneficiaries for the 2BHK scheme.

A division bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt was dealing with a PIL by one G. Devadas of the city, seeking to declare the freedom to the district minister and MLA to select beneficiaries, as illegal.

The government informed the bench that it had withdrawn its earlier order and issued another GO authorising the district collector to select the beneficiaries and to follow guidelines of the Centre’s “House of All” scheme.

Taking the new GO on record, the bench hoped the scheme would be completed within a reasonable time.
