Telangana: Alcoholic kills his mother

Hyderabad: A man killed his mother in Medak on Sunday night after she refused to give him money for alcohol.

V. Naresh, 25, the younger son of Mr Shankar Naik and Tulasi Bai of IB Tanda in Alladurg village in Andole mandal is an alcoholic, said sources. On Sunday evening, when Tulasi Bai was alone at home, he came and asked her for money. When she refused, he allegedly hit her on the head with a boulder.

On Sunday night, Tulasi Bai was sleeping alone at home while Naresh’s father and elder brother had gone to work at a sugarcane factory. Naresh came home and tried to take money from his sleeping mother. But she woke up and scolded him.

“He then tried to take the money forcibly, but she refused and shouted at him. Naresh then hit her with a boulder and killed her. Later he cleaned the house and washed the bloodstains and laid her body down on the same cot,” said Alladurg SI Satyanarayana.

A murder case under Section 302 of IPC was registered and Naresh was sent to judicial remand.
