Petrol cut by 58 paise, diesel 25 paise

After the cut, petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 60.48 a litre and diesel Rs 46.55 per litre
New Delhi: Public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Monday cut petrol price by 58 paise a litre and diesel by 25 paise per litre in the national capital. There will be corresponding cut across states depending upon the local taxes.
After the cut, petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 60.48 a litre and diesel Rs 46.55 per litre. Fuel prices are revised on every first and 15th of the month.
“The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and Rupee-US dollar exchange rate warrant a decrease in prices, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision,” said Indian Oil Corporation.
The movement of prices in the international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes, it added.
