1,400-year-old tree drowns Buddhist temple in a yellow ocean of leaves

Recently a 1,400-years-old ginkgo tree has attracted thousands of people from all over China.

This has happened because golden leaves are falling from the tree on the ground since mid-November, which makes this temple look like a yellow ocean.

The tree is located next to the Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple, Zhongnan Mountains. It feels like the perfect time for autumn celebration.

This tree is often called a “living fossil”, because despite all the climate changes, this has remained same for more than 200 million years now.
