Jagan Reddy lambasts Chandrababu Naidu for policies of deception

While he is threatening to pull down the houses here, the CM himself has been building a house on river front, he said
Nellore: Hitting hard at the Telugu Desam government for its failure to carry out relief measures in the district, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has been taking people for a ride and has been continuing his policies of deception and discrimination. "The CM has visited a few villages and went through the names of handful victims which the officials registered on paper, though every family is affected. No relief was extended though all the villagers are affected," he said addressing a public meeting at flood-hit Mansur Nagar in Nellore on Thursday.
"The relief works should be carried out immediately and the benefit should reach everyone," he said and demanded that the works should be taken up on a war footing as there are many complaints that the 25-kg rice is not reaching all the affected persons. Reiterating that Mr Naidu has been continuing his policy of deceiving people by going back on poll promises from waiver of agriculture and Dwcra loans, jobs, pensions to the input subsidy which he has promised before the elections.
He said that he would give the input subsidy of Rs 1,690 crore due for 2013-14 but made a U-turn and never kept his word on that count in the subsequent years. While he is threatening to pull down the houses here, the CM himself has been building a house on river front, he said. He demanded that the government provide houses to the people living on irrigation canals at Nellore before taking up encroachment removal drive.
