Looks like whenever actress Dhanshika gets injured, the movie turns out to be a huge hit. By now, it is an open secret that she essays the daughter of Rajinikanth in his upcoming gangster flick Kabali that is set in Malaysia. Under Ranjith’s direction, Dhanshika is touted to play a drug addict, although there are no confirmed reports. Apparently, she was badly injured twice during the shoot n Malaysia. Sources said that while they were canning a few shots on an island, she slipped and was injured her head. Later, during a crucial night scene where Rajini and Dhanshika had to run together on the road near the Twin Tower, the latter tripped and fell and was hurt in the same place where she was previously injured.
A close aide of the Aravaan actress tells DC, “A huge crowd had gathered shouting and cheering Rajini sir since it was the vantage location in Malaysia. Dhanshika, known for her perfection, always wants to do every stunt by herself. On that day, her concentration was fully on her scene and in a bid to excel, she ran so fast that she lost balance and fell on the road. She was crying in pain and was also bleeding. There were bruises on her hands and legs. It was Rajini sir’s makeup artist Banu Bhashyam who came to Dhanshika’s rescue. She took her to the car and cleaned her wound, immediately giving her first-aid and a painkiller. Rajini sir was very kind and asked her to take rest for a while.” However, the leggy actress is happy if she gets injured during a shoot, the movie would receive critical acclaim besides box office success.
In her earlier action adventure film Peraanmai where she took on an action avatar, she was injured and the film was a big hit, in addition to garnering critical acclaim. Yet another report which has resurfaced, is that Dhanshika has been considered for a crucial role by none other than Mani Ratnam for his next film with Karthi in place of Keerthi Suresh. A source from the Roja director’s office says that she was indeed considered for a role and that she even met the filmmaker, but the project will not take off anytime soon.
