Woman with stage four cancer wins a major modelling contract

She had to go through chemotherapy and two stem cell transplants

Dayna Christison, 25, was diagnosed with stage four cancer just after she graduated from fashion business school in NYC three years ago. Suffering from Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, she had to go through chemotherapy and two stem cell transplants as part of her treatment.

However, losing all of her hair because of the treatment did not stop her from forging a career as a model – be it strutting on the runway or starring in ads for major fashion companies. It all began after a photographer friend asked to take some photos of her for his portfolio that led her being noticed by several other photographers and her modelling agency, Major Model.

According to the Metro, she refused to wear a wig or a scarf because she didn’t want to hide to the world how she really looked. Her confidence and beauty is simply amazing. Check out some of her awesome pictures below:
