No parking here, Karnataka tells Kerala RTC

The move would force the commuters to go Peenya to catch Kerala RTC buses

Kochi: The Karnataka state road transport corporation has asked its Kerala counterpart not to use the Bangalore city terminal (Satellite Stand) for ‘ideal parking’ from Sunday. The move would force the Kerala RTC to shift its 14 night-halting services to Peenya bus stand 12 km away.

“We’ve received the communication from Karnataka citing lack of space. They say they park their buses on leased land now and that we’ve to shift the ideal parking to Peenya,” executive director (operations) P.M. Sharaf Muhammed said.

The move would force the commuters to go Peenya to catch Kerala RTC buses. Kerala authorities have already made it clear that the Sabarimala services (multi-axle Volvo) would operate only from Peenya from November 15.
