Kannur All India Radio station gets Modi pat

Kannur AIR officials felicitated her at a function held in Kottodi on October 5
KANNUR: All India Radio's Kannur station has received special mention by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 'Mann Ki Baat' monthly speech on radio on Sunday.
Narendra Modi said the Kannur station had sent a proposal urging all AIR stations to give prizes to the students who positively respond to various things that the PM spoke in his Mann Ki Baat speech.
A plus-one student, Shradda Thampan of Kottodi Government Higher Secondary School, Rajapuram in Kasargod made Kannur AIR proud.
After the commencement of Mann Ki Baat, Shradda had written an article in Hindi and English, as her positive feedback to the things mentioned by the PM, including waste management, wearing Khadi dress, supporting pottery etc.
Impressed by Shradda's feedback, Kannur AIR officials felicitated her at a function held in Kottodi on October 5.
Besides, Kannur AIR programme head K. Balachandran sent the proposal to the centre folllowing this
urging all radio stations to provide prizes to students who sent best positive feedback on 'Mann Ki baat'.
"It is a rare achievement to Kannur AIR. Buoyed by the PM's pat, we are going to introduce more prizes to students who react upon the PM's speech on radio," he told DC
