Guidelines for High Security Number Plates for Telangana vehilcles next week

State government’s insistence on HSNPs will cost each two-wheeler owner Rs 245

Hyderabad: The Telangana State government will fit only High Security Number Plates (HSNPs) during the re-registration of vehicles from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana code. The guidelines are expected to be issued next week.

The government’s insistence on HSNPs will cost each two-wheeler owner Rs 245, Rs 250 for three-wheeler owners, Rs 610 for four wheelers and Rs 649 for owners of transport vehicles.

Ahead of issuing the guidelines, the state government will get the law department to vet the proposals so that the re-registraton process does not get stuck in court; in September last year, the High Court had stayed an earlier re-registration notification.
