Thiruvannamalai: The Thiruvannamalai district collector A. Gnanasekaran, issued orders of financial assistance to four alternatively-abled persons, namely Lakshmi of Sirunathur village, Annamalai of Erumpoondi, Kamakshi of Thachchampattu village and Pachaiyappan of Somasipadi Village, at the weekly grievances day meeting held at the district Collectorate on Monday.
The collector also distributed calipers to two alternatively-abled persons who gave their petitions last week. The collector also distributed Rs 28, 000 worth cheques to each of nine persons who were the district toppers in the Tenth standard public examination who studied from Government higher secondary schools and who are also from Most Backward communities.
At Monday’s meeting, the collector received a total of 482 petitions. He asked the officials to take immediate action on behalf of those petitions.
