S S Rajamouli scouts locations for ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’

The first part went on to break several records at the box office
Mumbai: The filmmaker S S Rajamouli, who gave us blockbuster of the year ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, is currently scouting locations for the film’s second part ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’. The first part enthralled audience with its lavish and spectacular locales. It certainly did strike a chord with Indian movie-goers with its magical kingdoms, thrilling bull fights, war sequences down icy slopes and a fitting climax. It made the audience wonder that if this is the beginning, what will the culmination be like.
The work on its sequel has already begun! An elated Rajamouli took to his social networking account and posted, "Discussing about new sets for Baahubali: The Conclusion with our production designer Sabu Cyril garu & Makuta VFX supervisor Pete Draper!"
It took approximately 383 days to shoot the first film which went on floors on July 6 2013 in a village in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. As many as 2000 junior artistes shot for war scenes with props. 'Baahubali- The Beginning' is said to have the biggest opening ever, surpassing blockbusters like ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Dhoom 3'. On the first day, the film collected Rs.50 crore in India, with an additional Rs.16 crore coming from overseas. It went on to rake in more than Rs 300 crore in the span of few days.
