Hyderabad: Rohan Prem picked up where he left off, scoring a brilliant double hundred as Kerala amassed a commanding 401 in the first innings of their Group ‘C’ Ranji Trophy game being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday.
Rohan, who resumed his innings on 106, added 102 to his tally as Kerala more than made up for their sluggish pace of scoring on the opening day. In reply, Hyderabad lost an early wicket and reached 40 for 1 by stumps.
Leg-spinner Akash Bhandari was the most successful bowler for the home team, returning impressive figures of five for 72. Bhandari bowled seven maidens in his 28.2 overs.
