Hyderabad: Officials were undecided on whether to suggest that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao take over as chancellor for Osmania and Kakatiya universities or just Osmania University.
Whether such a proposal would cut ice with the Chief Minister will only be known later. It is also learnt that Mr Rameshwar Rao could be recommended for chancellorship of JNTU-Hyderabad though the name of eminent scientist J.N. Reddy of the Texas A&M University is also being considered.
Seer Chinna Jeeyar Swami could be recommended for the chancellorship of the Telugu University. The final decision will be taken by the CM said sources.
