Amaravati to be AP’s 14th district

More over all most all states have districts in the name of its capital

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh state will have 14th district in the name of new capital city Amaravati. Revenue department is preparing the proposals on the formation of new revenue district of Amaravati.

State government earlier has decided to from Amaravati Registration District for the purpose of registrations.

But now it has decided to form new revenue district. The officials said after the completion of preparing proposal it will be sent to government for cabinet’s approval.

The officials said that the land under AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) falls under Guntur and Krishna districts. In the registrations government has to mention the name of village, Mandal and district.

In CRDA limits for some lands government has to mention Guntur district and for some lands Krishna district. This may lead to confusion in the future.

More over all most all states have districts in the name of its capital. Telangana state capital Hyderabad has separate district.

The officials said that it is very rare to have separate names of capital and its district.

Amaravati is in Guntur district if the same will continue after construction of capital city state capital Amaravati is in Guntur district.

To avoid this state government has decided to form new revenue district with the boundaries of CRDA limits.

AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the past said that the government will form new districts in the state.

At present there are 13 districts in AP. CM Naidu said that the AP will have 25 districts and every lok sabha constituency will be made as a district.

But the revenue officials said that it is not possible to form new districts at this point of time.
