One man’s wife got so angry with him that she actually threw him out of their $1.3 million mansion, which has forced him to start living on their front lawn, for the past six months. Sharafat Khan has been living like a homeless man ironically just a few feet away from the front door of his lavish Seabrook home in Texas because his wife, Shahnaz, changed the locks after a bitter domestic spat.
His neighbours are concerned that the old man could die in front of his own house as he is very weak and can’t even walk very well, according to the Daily Mail. The 69-year-old has no access to the couple’s money and is not allowed to use the washing facilities, even though he owns half of the plush property. His 61-year-old wife has even put up signs warning people living in the community against helping him in any way.
According to media reports, the police have been called to the residence 30 times but are in no position to legally force his wife to let him in. Interestingly, court documents say that Khan was charged with assault after he allegedly hit his wife in 2008, reports the Daily Mail.
