Tata firm builds part for Airbus

The pod structures are used to build Air-to-Air Refuelling Structures and will be used on the Airbus A400M
Hyderabad: Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), a Tata Group company, on Wednesday handed over the first two 908E pod structures, which it assembled, to Cobham Mission Systems (CMS). The pod structures are used to build Air-to-Air Refuelling Structures and will be used on the Airbus A400M.
Hyderabad-based TASL was selected by UK-based Cobham Mission Equipment in May 2014, as a strategic partner for the manufacture and assembly of Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) pod and centreline structures.
TASL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons focused on providing integrated solutions for aerospace, defence and homeland security. According to the company, the delivery is a significant milestone in the relationship between TASL and CMS, reinforcing the further strategic intent for the partnership.
