Washington: A woman with skin cancer in the US’ Washington on Saturday was given an amazing nose which created out of the skin on her skull-scalp. Bree Towner, 28, discovered a small blemish on her nose in 2013 and was told by doctors that it was not cancerous. As a result she left it alone, despite the fact it kept scabbing over and she continued to sunbathe, New York Post said.
However, recently the blemish had become so big that it left her nose destroyed when it was removed by surgeons during a five-hour operation. Bree had three huge operations to have her nose rebuilt with skin from her head. The major facial reconstruction surgery, called a paramedian forehead flap, saw doctors fashioning a new nose fashioned from her scalp and attached to her forehead so it had a steady blood supply.
