KCR gave a four-hour marathon PowerPoint presentation to Governor
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday gave a four-hour marathon PowerPoint presentation to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan in Raj Bhavan on the proposed optimal utilisation of Krishna and Godavari river waters, status of irrigation projects and re-engineering of Pranahita Chevella and other schemes. It was part of the larger exercise to give a PowerPoint presentation to MLAs and MLCs jointly in the Assembly on October 8 and 9, it is learnt.
The CM called on the Governor for the second time in 24 hours on Gandhi Jayanti. “The CM made a PowerPoint presentation to the Governor on the present status of various irrigation projects in the state, the proposed change in design of Pranahita Chevella lift irrigation scheme to ensure more water flow through gravity among others and other developmental projects in Hyderabad,” K. Keshava Rao, TRS secretary general said.
The CM’s proposed change in design of Pranahita Chevella was also due to objections raised by Maharashtra government on the location of the barrage in the existing design which would submerge several villages on the Maharashtra side. The CM took Mr Keshava Rao, chief engineers of irrigation department and irrigation experts to Raj Bhavan. Asked whether the CM invited the Governor for the PowerPoint presentation in the Assembly and whether a Cabinet expansion also figured in the meeting, he replied in the negative.
