DMK firm on total prohibition: M K Stalin

Mr Stalin pointed out that there was a tremendous response to his 12-day tour programme
PUDUKKOTTAI: The DMK treasurer M K Stalin said that he was now undertaking a statewide tour, Namakku Name, “to unseat the AIADMK which is unable to introduce total prohibition in the state”.
Addressing local villagers of Maramadakki village near Alangkudi under a banyan tree, Mr Stalin pointed out that there was a tremendous response to his 12-day tour programme.
He charged that at present there is no aatchi (rule) in Tamil Nadu where there is only kaatchi (sights), that too, by video conferencing. “We are undertaking the tour to protect people of Tamil Nadu”, he added.
Earlier, he commenced his tour at Kattumavadi near Arantangi, and also visited various places like Maramadakki, Pathampatti, Thirumayam and reached Pudukkottai town where he met people from various associations, farmers, students, businessmen, walking through the busy east Raja street. Later, he met scores of farmers at a marriage hall at Keeranur.
Before leaving for Tiruchy, Mr. Stalin addressed wayside gatherings from his tour van. Mr Stalin will tour Tiruchy district tomorrow, after an overnight stay here, according to party sources.
