Naina Lal Kidwai to retire from HSBC India

HSBC on Wednesday announced retirement of Naina Lal Kidwai as HSBC India chairman on 31 December 2015

New Delhi: HSBC on Wednesday announced retirement of Naina Lal Kidwai as HSBC India chairman on 31 December 2015. She had a distinguished 13-year career with HSBC. She will also step down from her position of executive director on the board of HSBC Asia-Pacific. Ms Kidwai joined HSBC in 2002 as vice-chairman and MD at HSBC Securities and Capital Markets, India, and was appointed a group general manager of the bank in 2006. She took over as CEO of HSBC India in 2007 and as chairman of HSBC India in 2009. “I want to take this opportunity to thank Naina on behalf of all her colleagues for her service to HSBC over the last 13 years,” said Peter Wong, chief executive of HSBC Asia-Pacific.
