Congress Legislature Party plans to test trust in Speaker

CLP deputy leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said it was now for the Speaker to immediately decide on the petitions pending before him for over a year
Hyderabad: The Congress Legislature Party will move a no confidence motion against TS Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary if he fails to take a decision on the petitions seeking disqualification of defected MLAs within the next few days.
Reacting to the HC verdict rejecting court intervention into the jurisdiction of the Speaker on deciding disqualification petitions, CLP deputy leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said it was now for the Speaker to immediately decide on the petitions pending before him for over a year, failing which his party will move the no confidence motion. He said it was not desirable on the part of Speaker to keep pending the petitions for months.
