Kamal Haasan and AR Rahman to join hands again?

The makers are planning to rope in AR Rahman for the film
Kamal Haasan’s action thriller Thoongavanam is all set to hit the screens this Diwali. The film has music scored by Ghibran. Meanwhile, it was reported earlier that the Vishwaroopam star will star in a film titled Thalaivan Irukkiran which will feature few other veteran stars from south. On the other hand, its Hindi version Amar Hain will see Saif Ali Khan teaming up with Kamal Haasan.
Now, the grapevine has it that the makers are planning to rope in AR Rahman for the film. As the movie has been billed as a political thriller and is being released as a bilinguial, the makers felt the maestro will be a good choice for the project. It’s heard that talks are going on with the ‘Mozart of Madras’ and it has to be seen whether the Oscar winner will give a nod to the film. It has to be noted that it’s been more than a decade and a half since AR Rahman has scored music for a Kamal-starrer. The last time the duo joined hands was for the comic caper Thenali, directed by KS Ravikumar.
