Suspect in nun's murder to be brought today

The police team is waiting for completing legal procedures
Kottayam: The police team from Kottayam reached Haridwar on Friday and confirmed that the person in the custody of the police there as Satheesh Babu, 38, suspect in the murder of Sister Amala at Lisieux Carmelite convent in Pala last Thursday.
The police team is waiting for completing legal procedures including getting the transit order from the local court so that the suspect could be brought back to Kerala. Kottayam district police chief Satheesh Bino told DC that the suspect would be brought back to the state by Saturday after completing the legal procedures.
Further procedures including questioning will be conducted after he is brought to the state, he said. The suspect, who fled the state after allegedly committing the murder, was taken into custody by the Haridwar police by Wednesday night after a tipoff.
