It was after a long hiatus that Nayanthara returned back to Mollywood with the comic caper, Bhaskar the Rascal, alongside Mammootty and the audience rolled out the welcome mat for her. Now, she has signed yet another Malayalam movie which will see her pairing opposite Mammootty again.
The untitled film will have the Maya actress playing a role that she has never donned before. She will be playing the role of a Kathakali artiste named Vasuki who hails from a brahmin community. Confirming the same, a source says, “She has been learning Kathakali because there are sequences of the dance form in the film. This is a role that she has never played.”
The film has Mammootty playing a family advocate, and is sharing the screen space with Nayanthara for the fourth time. The movie which is being directed by AK Sajan, has Arya too playing a pivotal role.
