Day 1 of Dangal: Aamir Khan poses with Phogat sisters and Sakshi Tanwar

Mumbai: After months of rigorous training and prep, Aamir Khan has finally kick-started the first schedule of ‘Dangal’ in Ludhiana, Punjab. The actor will be seen playing the legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.

On the first day of the shoot, the actor met with Babita and Geeta Phogat on the film sets. A couple of months before the filming began, Aamir met the Phogat sisters to prepare for his role, and get well-acquainted with his character.

Sakshi Tanwar, who will be playing Aamir’s wife can also be seen in the picture. Aamir Khan announced the first day of Dangal on Twitter by sharing his first look in the film.

Aamir had to gain weight for his role in the film. The actor, who currently weighs around 90 kilos said he has been experiencing health problems. Aamir will shed the kilos after the first schedule is completed and prepare to shoot another portion of the film in January next year.
